Tallanbana offers a small picnic area with limited amenities including picnic tables, a shelter shed and public toilets. A formed walking track through old regrowth forest connects Tallanbana to the main Twin Falls walking track. Much of this area around Tallanbana was cleared years ago and the first part of the track is dominated in the canopy by Black Wattle, or White Alder (Callicoma serratifolia) with rainforest in the understorey, while New England Ash (Eucalyptus campanulata) and Blue Mountains Ash (E. oreades) are dominant in lower portions. Recognisable by it's 'candlestick' bark peeling back to a smooth creamy-white trunk, Blue Mountains Ash is near its northern limit of distribution at Springbrook.
