Spice Bush is relatively common in higher parts of Springbrook and is one of only a few plants in the high country with large, 'showy' flowers. These emit a wonderful fragrance around summer. Spice Bush belongs to one of the oldest plant families: Proteaceae, and is a direct descendant of Gondwana.
